Preparing Ourselves to Challenge Racism

"Don't wait in silence for that final luxury of fearlessness."

What do you do when you hear a racist comment or see a racist act?  Examples

What does it mean to “prepare” ourselves to challenge racism?

Which fears are stopping you?

Does your behavior reflect your values?

How do you use your power to dismantle systemic racism?

Despite our best intentions, how do we know if we've been causing harm?

Prepare Yourself - Consider these workshops: Offerings

My focus is on the work that white people need to do to interrupt racism on an individual and systemic level.

The groups and workshops I offer are intended to complement and support  teaching and training led by Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC).  Both are crucial components of anti-racist learning and development.  Resources

I ask questions that invite people to think deeply, consider other perspectives and engage in self-examination.

My teaching and facilitation style is direct, honest and supportive.

Working together, we develop the skills, confidence and courage needed to take action and make a real difference in our communities and in today's world.

"I didn't feel that with all that I was seeing in the world around me I could just show up and play as if nothing had happened, as if lives were not unjustly taken."
